New technologies are starting to address the issue, potentially triggering new sales. Most recently, Cingular Wireless has unveiled its MusicID service, which instantly matches songs over a mobile device. To identify a track, Cingular Wireless customers simply need to text “#ID” (#43), while holding the device to the sound source for 15 seconds. Cingular then matches the audio sample against a database of 3 million songs, and provides a match within seconds.

Det har har funnit ganska lange, i alla fall har i UK. Tydligen sa ska det fungera forvanansvart bra.
